Trump slams Fox News host over Fox & Hannity report
Breitbart News—Donald Trump is slamming Fox News anchor and Fox & Hannity co-host Chris Wallace, who on Friday released a report claiming that the president’s former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, was fired by Trump for his behavior with women, a report the president slammed.
“Chris Wallace is not the CNN anchor he claims to be,” Trump tweeted on Friday.
“He is a disgrace.”
Wallace has been on Fox News since 2011, but on Friday he was on a break from the network after being fired from the Trump campaign, according to Fox News.
He did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Trump also took to Twitter to criticize CNN for a recent report that the Justice Department had launched an investigation into possible collusion between the Trump team and Russia during the 2016 presidential election.
“I am pleased to announce that CNN has agreed to investigate and release the final report of the Special Counsel’s investigation into the Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential election,” Trump wrote on Twitter.
“The final report will be released at 11:59 p.m.
The CNN report will reveal that the collusion between Trump’s team and the Russians was not just a matter of coincidental.
The collusion was a deliberate effort to interfere in our democracy.
The Russian hacking was an attempt to influence our election.
It was a calculated attempt to undermine our democracy.”
On Thursday, the White House issued a statement saying “the president’s campaign team was aware of allegations” of collusion between Lewandowski and the Russian government and was “fully cooperating with the Special Commission,” but added that it would not “be a complete report” before a special counsel is appointed.
